At the beginning of Summer. When Ethan's Batman obsession started. I got two Batman masks from the store (by this point I'd figured out that even though our boys are three years apart I need to buy two of everything to keep the peace). Shortly there after Ethan declared that he wanted to be Batman for Halloween (he really plans ahead), the thought of buying a store bought costume just isn't very appealing, but I also haven't any sewing skills. Luckily my mother-in-law does have sewing skills and so one day we went shopping for capes. We ended up getting a skirt from the D.I. and cutting it up. It was enough to make two Batman Capes.

My boys love these capes and wearing the masks is just so much fun for them. Of course when these pictures were taken I hadn't finished the rest of Ethan's costume and so, yes, he is in his underwear. His preferred style of choice (much to Eric and mine dismay).

Here they are showing off the finished capes with masks.

Ammon looks so serious in this one.

Here's the other way he likes to wear the mask. It can't be comfortable, but he does it all the time.

I like this, it's looks like he has horns.

And here they are doing what they do best: Chasing each other up and down the hallway.
