New Port Oregon Aquarium

What's a trip to Oregon with out a trip to the coast? Actually I wasn't planning on one, I thought it would be too cold and rainy (it was and my arthritis didn't like it). It was an offer that was made and Ethan wanted to do it so we did. They had a great time and even though the weather wasn't the best they even got to walk on the beach. I didn't take any pictures of the beach because of the wind and sand I didn't want my camera to get all messed up, so I left it in the car. I'm glad I did, not because of the sand, but because I ended up chasing Ammon and keeping my boys out of the water. Not easy with a camera.
I did take lots of pictures at the Aquarium though.

Let's see I think these are Lion Fish. Could be wrong though.

Meet Bloat the Blow Fish.

Here's an assortment of fish in one of those cool tanks.

The Octopus decided to make a showing. Sometimes you can't even see him because he hides in his hole. This was a rare treat and I had to take a picture of him.

Here's Ethan petting some sharks. Yes you read right Sharks! He tried to get me to do it, but Mommy is deathly afraid of sharks.

Check out the size of these Crabs!

It was hard to get pictures of Ethan. He's always on the move! That's the way he likes to do things, go into a room give it the once over and then go back to the favorite things he noticed.

As hard as it is to get pictures of Ethan it's even harder to get pictures of both boys facing the same way!

Ammon in front of the Tide Pool Display. He really wanted to reach his hand in and touch the water. I took him over the the touchable one, but he wasn't brave enough to touch anything and when I tried to show him it was okay, by touching a Sea Urchin and he about had a cow pulling my hand back and shrieking (He's my cautious boy). Ethan on the other hand touched everything.

This is on the other side of Passage of the Deep. The Passage of the Deep is a series of glass tubes that you walk through and look at various things. None of my pictures turned out good in there, too dark.

WOW! Here's one that actually has me in it!
