Family Update

Ethan's been enjoying school so far. He gets to ride the bus and everything. He's finally started to learn about cause and effect. He pushed Ammon down one day because he didn't want Ammon to help him put in a DVD so Ammon was crying and then decided to get revenge. When Ethan bent over to put the disc in Ammon horse kicked him into the glass door of our entertainment center. Ethan ended up with a charming 3 inch gash down his forehead and nose. He's started being a little nicer to Ammon since he now knows that Ammon's not going to take it anymore. Honestly Ammon might be stronger than Ethan in some areas.

Ammon is usually a sweet boy who loves to share, but has a fascination with DVD discs and is always getting into them. Ammon loves to play with his brother and will randomly start pretending to be a monster and chase anyone around who will run. He's also mastered climbing up the counters and loves to hang off of things. I always seem to be pulling him off of one thing or another.

Eric is still enjoying his job and doing well. He plays with the boys when possible.

As for Me well, I'm 12 weeks along now. I finally decided to find a midwife and start my prenatal care. Jules is very nice and I think we'll get along just fine. I had my first appointment Monday the 15th. Among all the questions and things that usually goes on. Eric and I got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. Jules said the heart rate was around 155 a min and that, that was nice and fast and also in the girl range. There is not scientific evidence that supports being able to tell the sex by the heart rate, but my mom was told that I was a girl by my heartbeat so it leaves me hopeful, though Jules did say that there was plenty of time for it to slow down to the boy range when Eric kept telling her it was a boy.

I'll be happy either way as long as I get a baby in the end, but a girl would be wonderful. A boy would make Eric very proud to provide the male gene to the Romney family yet again. I keep telling him that it doesn't matter because either way Eric will be special in the family. See so far all his brothers have made girls so if Eric has another boy he's the only one to do so (so far), but if he has a girl he's also the first one to produce both genders as his brothers have only produced one gender (again so far).
